JAPANESE PAINTED FERN, Beautiful, easy to grow, low-maintenance perennial. Japanese Painted fern is a dwarf fern and one of the showiest, for shape gardens. Emerging fronds have a burgundy stem; they are metallic pewter with a reddish/bluish blush. Clump and grow to 2’ wide. They form a nice contrast to other shade-loving perennials such as hosta, astilbe and coral bells. It was named the 2004 perennial plant of the year. LADY FERN, This native perennial fern has deciduous leaves about 2-3 ½’ long in loose tuft. They are light green or straw-colored, becoming more dark toward the base. They preference is dappled sunlight to light shade, moist conditions, they like high humidity and some protection from the wind. Problems with disease and pest are uncommon. |
