Evergreen Ground Cover

AJUGA, Bronze Beauty, This Ajuga is a low growing evergreen perennial 6-10” tall which forms a dense mat like groundcover as it spreads along underground stolons.

CATLIN’S GIANT, Grows in average, medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. The showy flowers are blue, leaves are bronze-green.  It is a very dense, rapidly spreading ground cover.

PURPLE LEAF WINTERCREEPER, Ivy-like growth makes an outstanding evergreen ground cover   Deep-green foliage turns beautiful, rich plum color during the cool season.  Grows in partial to full sun.  Growth habit moderate, wide-spreading to 2’ tall, 6-8’ wide.

MYRTLE (Vinca minor), is a vine that stay short, sprawling out over the ground.  They typically stand only 3-6” off the ground, but their trailing stems can reach 18” in length.  Vinca minor puts out the bluish-lavender “periwinkle flower” in spring and bloom intermittently throughout summer.  Plant in partial sun to full shade.

PACHYSANDRA, (Green Carpet), a strong classic for shade featuring compact, rich evergreen foliage in whorls of waxy leaves. Tiny white flowers in spring.  Grows 6-12”.  It is a vigorous spreader but not aggressive, will remain evergreen all year.
